In recent years, I have codified a type of character (usually female) that is extremely energetic.  It is called the Genki Girl.  The TV Tropes page for Genki Girl has a quote at the top that simply says “Your presence itself is like shouting”.  The girls and women in this section aren’t just cheerful, they’re cartoonishly cheerful.  Usually, the only time they act sad is if the tone is entirely serious.  Let’s just get into the characters of this category.
Warning: There are spoilers in this article for Gravity Falls, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Overwatch, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.  Proceed with caution.

·Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls) carboncostume.com/wordpress/wp… – She is a twelve-year-old girl and half of the Mystery Twins (her brother Dipper makes up the other half).  Mabel and Dipper were sent to live with their Grunkle Stan (Grunkle is short for Grand Uncle) who lives in Gravity Falls and turned his house into a tourist trap.  Dipper and Mabel end up finding a lot of supernatural and sci-fi activity in the title town.  While Dipper is focused on solving these mysteries, Mabel is more interested in being charming.  She almost always wears sweaters in the show (even though it’s summertime), wants a whirlwind summer romance (to the point of going out of her way to attract plenty of boys), and has a pet pig named Waddles.  Mabel is also physically strong as she has swung around Dipper in happiness, held both her weight and Dipper’s weight while using her grappling hook to descend into a canyon, and made a unicorn bleed by punching it in the face.  Despite this, Mabel is a polarizing as she never sees to learn to sacrifice for Dipper, something that Dipper has done repeatedly (well she did learn it in Sock Opera, but it didn’t stick).  There is a lot of controversy surrounding her role in causing Weridmaggedon in which she gave Blendin Blandin a riff that the omnipotent Bill Cipher could come out of.  To be fair, she didn’t know that Bill Cipher himself was possessing Blendin at the time due to the fact that he wears goggles.  Later, Dipper agrees to give up his future plans of studying Gravity Falls with Grunkle Ford so that Mable will leave her fantasy land.  While plenty of Gravity Falls fans accused Mabel of forcing Dipper to give up on his hopes and dreams while she lost nothing, Mabel Land was a place where Mabel would get anything she wants, sometimes before she knew she wanted it.  I think that’s a pretty big sacrifice.

·Pinkie Pie (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/m… – In terms of the Mane Six, Pinkie is the Element of Laughter.  Her goal in life is to help other ponies (or other species) be happy and make as many friends as possible.  To do this, she throws a lot of parties.  Once again, I’d like to refer you readers to a Silver Quill video to explain Pinkie Pie’s appeal better than I ever could. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvpQnK…

·Star Butterfly (Star vs. the Forces of Evil) orig12.deviantart.net/75aa/f/2… – If you want one character who is equal parts tomboy and girly girl, Star Butterfly is your character.  She is the Princess of a kingdom called Mewni.  She gets a magic wand for her fourteenth birthday and uses it to (accidentally) cause havoc in Mewni.  She always seems like she’s on a sugar high, has blonde hair, and had trouble choosing between a ponytail and pigtails for a hairstyle once.  Despite these feminine traits, she also tames wild unicorns, uses her magic wand to fight monsters, and can fight well even without her wand (although her combat spells are quite cute and girly).  She also isn’t very knowledgeable about human culture, which is something Marco specializes in giving Star and Marco some balance.  Sadly, the last Star vs. The Forces of Evil episode I have seen is By the Book which means I don’t know how her character has evolved since that point.

·Tracer (Overwatch) img06.deviantart.net/6863/i/20… – You know what?  I don’t even need to say anything about Tracer.  I have not even played Overwatch, but she looks like an interesting character.  She was featured on an episode of Who Dat, and I doubt there is anything I could tell you about her that isn’t in that episode. www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5mEEy… Well, nothing except that she’s a lesbian.  Also, she’s now in Heroes of the Storm with a somewhat funny video to celebrate this fact. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlbWKy…

·Ty Lee (Avatar: The Last Airbender) i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/n… – She grew up in a large family with six sisters who were exactly like her (to be fair, we never see these sisters).  The first time that Ty Lee was seen, she was performing in a circus who is performing there in an attempt to be an individual.  Azula notices her impressive acrobatics, and blackmails Ty Lee into helping her capture the Gaang as well as Zuko and Iroh who are now fugitives.  While Ty Lee can’t bend any elements, she can paralyze her opponents through chi blocking strikes and has been able to go toe to toe with elemental benders for this reason.  She helped Azula conquer Ba Sing Se by temporarily paralyzing Toph and Sokka.  While Ty Lee was certainly afraid of Azula throughout season two and most of season three, after she saw Mai turn on Azula, she did the same.  Ty Lee was briefly imprisoned before Aang defeated Fire Lord Ozai and Zuko likely pardoned her.  After the war, Ty Lee joined the Kyoshi Warriors.

Well, I just have one category to go, the miscellaneous characters.  Unfortunately, I have not written down the candidates for this category just yet.  In the meantime, make sure to leave your suggestions on what characters I can add to this category.
