I’m finally back. After not posting any deviations on this page, I finally have something else to post here. My lack of posting wasn’t out of any sort of cruelty, it was just because I didn’t have any ideas. So what brought me out of this pseudo-retirement? Well, one of the music critics I follow is Sean-Fey Wolfe. He runs Diamond Axe Studios and makes high quality videos about pop music both past and present. In the last month or two though, one of his grandmothers got really sick and he has to look after her. Therefore, he can’t really make any videos on his own right now. Unfortunately, he has mold in his walls and needs to put out a new video so he can get the money to get new walls. Therefore, he commissioned us to send in our opinions of these songs so he could stitch them together into a video. That’s quite a problem to have and I hope Sean doesn’t fall into financial ruin because of this problem. I did my part by making little reviews of every song he assigned even

One of the shows I'm currently watching is Inside Job. It's an office comedy about a shadow corporation that controls the world in which almost every conspiracy theory you can think of is real. The main character is named Reagan and she is thirty something and trying to become the leader of Cognito Inc., but despite her smarts, she doesn't have very many people skills. Thus, she's paired with Brett a muscular idiot with a heart of gold who has plenty of people skills. Together, they lead a team consisting of a woman who invented selfies to monitor people, a Korean biochemist who experiments with narcotics, a man-dolphin hybrid who oversees weapons, and a mushroom like organism who can read peoples minds and is a jerk. It shows us that mysterious shadow corporations can have just as dysfunctional of a workplace as any TV comedy. It has been almost two years now since I’ve given up on The Nostalgia Critic. However, I watched his videos frequently for seven years. When you’ve watched something for that long, even if you regret it, you tend to remember it for a while. One of the movies that he’s reviewed that sticks out in my mind is A Troll in Central Park. Don Bluth started his career with The Secret of NIMH, a dark, cerebral cartoon that still had heart thanks to the undying motherly support Mrs. Brisby showed to her kids. The spectacle of seeing this man reduced to making a toddler movie just a dozen years later is something that sticks in the brain. Bluth himself admitted that he never properly finished writing the story. I even commented on this movie before when I essentially said that My Neighbor Totoro was the good version of A Troll in Central Park.
